About Walk Works
Walk Works offers expertly guided walks and outdoor experiences across South Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire.
We connect people to nature and to each other through thoughtfully designed walks that encourage conversation, clarity, and connection. Each experience is locally rooted, carefully planned, and guided with purpose.
We walk, we talk, we grow.

More Than Just a Walk
With deep local knowledge and trusted community relationships, we don’t just follow footpaths.
We take you to the views worth stopping for, the pubs worth booking, the farm shops worth browsing, and the cafés you’ll want to return to.
Walking side by side changes the dynamic. Conversations feel easier. Ideas land differently. People open up.
Fresh air. Open views. Proper conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I come for a walk on my own?
Yes, absolutely. Our Walk Works community is really friendly and we love meeting new people.
Most of the people who make up our community started off by coming along on their own! New walkers are always warmly welcomed.
Can I bring my dog?
Sadly no. We love dogs but are not insured for our walkers to bring their four-legged friends, as our routes can cross fields and footpaths with livestock and cattle.
Do you do special walks for parties or hen-dos or other groups of friends?
Absolutely. We can curate a walk that suits any party. Whether it’s a group of friends or family, or a corporate team day out with your business, we have hundreds of fantastic walking routes and many trusted partners to work with to bring you a unique, nature inspired wow-factor experience.
Think, a relaxed 5km walk finished with a wine tour and tasting OR an mega 18km hike between 2/3/4 vineyards! OR a moderate 7/8km walk followed by hearty lunch at a country pub, brewery or country house - tell us what you’re after and we will do our best to make it happen.
Do you run walking holidays?
Yes, for example in October 2025 we organised a fantastic walking holiday to the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia.
We are in the process of putting together a holiday to Georgia in 2027 - EXCITED?? Watch this space!
Will I be fit enough?
This is a genuine concern for many, but we’d say if you can walk for an hour and a half, (5-8km) at a reasonable pace with a few hills, then you’ll more than likely be fine.
We always publish the details of each walk - the length, terrain, how many hills and if there are any stiles to negotiate, so you should get a good idea of what to expect. If you’re worried, start on a shorter, flat walk and build up your fitness with us.
Walking fitness comes incredibly quickly. We also find that when you’re chatting, you tend to forget that you’re exercising!
Is it women only?
No, Walk Works is a mixed group where all are welcome.
Could you organise a retreat day or corporate team outing for my business?
Absolutely! We would be delighted to work with your business to build a bespoke nature inspired, walking event that has your team walking together, talking together and getting to know each other better.
How can I be kept informed of your walks?
Check the Walks & Events page to find Friday walks and other Special Events.
We publish an up to date walking schedule every month on social media, so please check out our Instagram or Facebook pages.
Join our WhatsApp Broadcast community to be alerted to all of our events every week. Get in touch to join our WhatsApp Broadcast community here: 07825 251955
Do I need any equipment?
A good sturdy pair of walking trainers, shoes or boots will always see you right. UK weather is unpredictable as we all know, so a raincoat is good to have on hand, but other than that, we’d recommend a bottle of water and a smile 😊.
Some people like the security of walking poles and you’re very welcome to bring them along should you so wish.
What do I get for my walking fee?
